Customize throws me out onto home screen every time.

(first post) Hey guys, I downloaded the app "Customize" since I couldn't find any app icon changes I liked that much. Though every time i try to enter it, the "thespicychicken" logo pops up then throws me out to my home screen. I tried to re-install, but no different results. Sooo, what I'm asking is should I give up or what?

Oh, and if you guys can't figure out a simple reason this, could ya recommend me a app besides Winterboard that allows me to change my app icons? (I have Cydia and Installer, though I prefer Cydia)

Welcome to EIC, Pickle. I'll tell you this right up front: both Installer and Customize should be avoided; they're nothing but a bundle of bugs and crashes.

The best way to do theming is WinterBoard. It has all of the capabilities of Customize and more. Unfortunately, it's the only other app available that does theming, so if you won't use it, you'll have to do it all manually, which is quite a pain. That means going into every app in the /Applications folder (or /var/mobile/Applications/, if it's an AppStore app) and changing the icon.

Customize does not work for me either after the last update. It was an easy way to change the strings on my phone. I wish they would update it to work.

From what I read, the creator of customize kind of dissapeared and was rumored he wasnt going to work on customize anymore and was done, but I also heard that updating customize for 2.2 was a matter of him having time.

Oh so it's not me or my phone, it's just customize that's being difficult to use... K well thanks for the help all of ya. (awesome sig by the way Connie, The Rachel's Challenge people came to my school last year. Amazing story.)
