Seriously...it seems everytime I plug my iPhone into my computer, it takes 10-15 minutes just to back the ****ing thing up..

I'd like to be able to just plug it in and sync like I do with my iPod...not wait a quarter of an hour...this is absolutely ****ing ridiculous.

and this is before it even starts to sync, which doesn't exactly go as fast as the iPod does either!!!!

it's now been "backing-up" for about 25 minutes.

nevermind, you can just click the little black "X" thankgod...it'd gone on a half hour and it still wasn't even done. ****ing ridiculous.

If it goes much beyond 10-15 minutes, that is pretty ridiculous. You can stop it by clicking the little 'x' at the top right of the status area where it says 'Backing up *youriPhonename*'.

Are you on latest 2.2 firmware?

yep, and I as well have the newest iTunes software.

Cool. Then I'd just hit the 'x' to end it one time, and hope that it 'corrects itself' on next sync, or after next reboot of iPhone / computer. That's happened for me in the past when it (only very rarely now with 2.2) wants to take forever to backup ...
