songs from ipod to mac book?

Hello, i just bought a new mac book. i was using a dell pc. some of my music could not be transfered from the dell. i have it in my ipod though. how can i transfer music from my ipod to my mac book? thanks? anyone know of any free software that actually works? thanks again

I'm on the iPhone right now but go to apple.com and then downloads. Search for music recovery or something like that. Try looking around in there. It works great and is really simple to use. It should show a pic of a HD with a orange arrow pointing down.
