I am Unable to backup my phone

Every time i try and backup my iphone after it gets about 70% done this error message pops up

AppleMobileBackup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

How do i fix this???

I am running version 2.2 and am on a pc

1-make sure you have the latest version of Itunes
2-Turn the Iphone off, until the screen goes black (unpluged from Itunes)
3-Turn phone back on and plug back in to your PC
4-pUT PHONE IN AIRPLANE mode
5-Try backup again.

Also exit iTunes and start it up again. If that doesn't work reboot your computer.
