Stupid question about the mp3 player software from a potential iPhone buyer.

I hope this is the right section, I did some searching but couldn't find an answer to my question.

My question is; if you have music playing on your iPhone is there a way to lock it like with the hold button on the ipods? So if you touch the screen you won't change the volume, track etc? I read that if you put the phone to sleep that the music stops, but I couldn't find anything on this feature.

I know this is a simple question but the AT&T store is a fair distance away so I haven't been able to get my hands on one yet to play around with it.

Any help would be appreciated ;)

All you have to do is hit the power on//off button on the top to put it in sleep mode. The music will continue to play without the chance of alteration. Then just tap the home button to get back in to make any changes.
