how exactly does this work

if im not supposed to open certain emails on my pc (because they supposedly can contain codes and virus's) how am i suppose to feel safewhen it starts automaticley downloading spam emails to my iphone. should i be concerned with these emails on the iphone or as long as i dont open em as with the pc it wont affect anything

I believe safari wouldn't allow pages that contain viruses to be displayed.

Viruses are hard to come by on a mac, and the iPhone sports a similar OS, so (for now) you don't really have to worry about a virus on your iPhone.

That's my take on it as well. Virtually all viruses are designed to exploit Windows and IE so I wouldn't sweat it too much.
