Hey,
So when a phone is locked, does that mean it's locked to the specific carrier that you purchase it from only, or can you use it on other carriers that also sell the iPhone?
For example, I live in Canada and I purchased my iPhone from "ROGERS". I want to visit somewhere in the US, is it possible to stick an AT&T (pay as you go, if offered) SIM Card in the phone and have it work, since AT&T also sells the iPhone without unlocking the device? I don't want to roam while I'm there, but I'd still like to use my iPhone abroad and just use Pay as you go while I'm there..
Rogers and AT&T used to be the same company up here in Canadia-land, until I guess something happened.
