can anyone make this for me. I want a pop up for mail notifscations like texts.
While the app isn't running, there's nothing any developer can do. Once Apple perfects the push notification services which are like half a year late, well, then we might be able to do something.

Are you sure Push don't working on 2.2 iPhones e-mail? I thought it was Push for applications...!?
That's different. I'm talking about the feature that allows developers to enable their apps to push notification to their users even if they are not actually running the app currently. This was promised way back in March and has been continually delayed. There is currently no way to push a notification about an application to an iPhone or iPod touch with the SDK
I think the poster was asking about getting the popup notification about receiving new emails. It would work in theory if the app notification service was working. Just a simple app to set up which mailboxes to watch for new mail.

I don't think any un-jailbreaked iPhone can show anything on the login screen like the SMS messages! But it will be a nice feature to have an option in all these apps..
That is as a matter of fact one of the things promised by the push notification service. If they pull it off any time soon, I'd say it would alleviate many frustrations with things like persistent connections.

Yeah. Slot of people don't like the text pop ups. I personly like them. I just It would be implamented by the badge notifscation that pops up when I get an email like the text does
