I bought an IPhone 3G off of ebay and have been using it unlocked via turbosim with t-mobile for a few months. When my T-Mobile contract ends in February, I'd like to switch over to ATT so I can get visual voicemail, 3g internet, and also not have to worry about firmware/unlock issues.
My question is, if I already own an iphone 3g, will I be forced to sign a contract with ATT to get their service, or will I just get the standard plan no strings attached? Additionally, will I have to pass a credit check even though I'm not signing a contract? Thanks for the info :).
