3g refurbs available on AT&T

Didn't see this posted, but AT&T is selling 3g refurbs now, it also stated the 3g's (new) was available online, but not sure if it's online ordering or just prequalifying before picking up in-store.

Plus the warranty is 90 days from AT&T. I doubt Apple is going to extend much further than that. They will probably only extend it to the original purchase date BEFORE it was refurbished

When we bought a refurb V1 for my wife, it came with a 1-year standard warranty just as if it was new. Don't know if things have changed.

Regarding the price, the V1 refurbs sold for $150 off the $400 price for an 8gig, or 37.5% off. So 25% off isn't too far off the mark.

I also got the standard one year warranty cover on a V1 Refurb - but it was through Apple, not AT&T.

They have a new promotion $50 off the refurb price so...

$99 for an 8gig
$199 for a 16gig

Prices good till Dec 31st.

But it seems that you can't upgrade from a v1 account unless it's eligible for an upgrade. If I go to Apple I can get a 16gb iPhone for the subsidized price of $299, even though I'm not eligible for an upgrade.
