how to relock a unlocke iphone 3g?

Got a unlocked 3g but want to put it back to factory defaults and locked so i have no issues. What do i do to do this.....new iphone user.

"so you have no issues".... what do you mean by that? Anyway, plug the iphone into your computer and open itunes, click restore, this will turn your phone into a factory reset phone....meaning its the same as when it came out of the factory... your back to square 1!!

can i ask why you want to do this?
