iPhone or iTunes Problem?

Hey guys, I am trying to get the new 2.2 Software Update but my iPhone or iTunes will not allow me to get it. I keep getting the same error which is "iPhone could not sync ^0 do to it being disconnected" It is something like that and it has the ^ before the 0. Is it iTunes or my iPhone? Please let me know on ways to fix this problem!

Things that I have tried:
Restarting iTunes - NO.
Restarting Computer -NO.
Restarting iPhone - NO.
Turning off Auto-Sync - NO.

Two more things to try...
Do a soft reset on your phone. Press and hold BOTH the home and the power button until the the phone goes off.

Make sure iTunes is up to date.

I can't remember if that was the error message I saw. But try using a different USB port and if you're using a dock station... try it without the dock station (just straight plug).

Also make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (8.02).

I do have the latest version of iTunes. This is so frustrating :frown:
