Very Interesting Site 3G Questions

I see hundreds of 3G iPhones on eBay that are unlocked. Where are they coming from?

Nope, I have heard a lot about some stores in Hong Kong and other places in Japan that sell factory unlocked 3G iPhones.

I have watched a video made by the guy who received it from a friend in Hong Kong on YouTube but I totally forgot its name.

it was unlocked via some sim card thingy paid some dude 40 bucks
got ripped off i know

Oh, I am using the Gevey-3G (actually was) since I gave my iPhone 3G away.

I paid about $39 bucks, so not I don't think you got ripped off. But did the guy give you the legit AT&T sim card while selling you the iPhone so you can sync with iTunes? Because that's what the seller did with me; he gave me the AT&T sim card while I didn't even know that without it I can't sync :D. Lucky eh?

Why couldn't you sync? You don't even have to have a sim card to sync with iTunes? I have 3 iPhones and I have stuff on all three of them and only one has a sim.

But doesn't it ask you for activation when you try to sync with iTunes if there's no sim card inserted?

Have you had a 2G phone like mine? How is this phone (like performance)? Who are you using for service? What is your plan and what does it cost? How is it unlocked, with a sim card? Are you using the 3G service or wifi?

JCip, the performance of the 3G is pretty efficient. Unless you pay big money for a factory unlocked one, you'll have to use a sim chip (turbo sim as they call it) in order to use any sim card other than AT&T.
