Phone Icone Not Working On Iphone 3g

hello every one

i have the follwoing proplem and i don't wont to restore it coz I got it unlocked and after restore it will be locked, I try it before.

When i press the phone icon on iphone 3G (2.1 Unlocked) it shows the dial pad but after few seconds its close automatically and it's back to home screen, please help

i tried to restart it many times and it still the same

Omg, I swear that happened to me before when I got my iPhone 3G. Luckily, the 2.2 firmware wasn't out yet so I restored with 2.1 firmware and it worked just fine. What you can do is open iTunes 8, download the new 2.2 firmware (choose Download Only not Download & Install). Then google PwnageTool 2.2 and download it, run PwnageTool 2.2 and follow the steps, it shall work fine with the new 2.2 firmware because PwnageTool will modify the 2.2 firmware bundle and won't update your baseband.
