Can someone please help me. Why is that when i have my earplugs in and I click the thing that makes your music come on , It ALWAYS starts at the same song everytime I click it on. If its today tomorrow or the day after it always starts at the same song and goes through the same rotation. How do I get this toi stop.
Please help im going nuts....

I think it's just set to start on the first song in your library. Mine does this as well. Doesn't bother me too much, though.
I don't know of a way to get it to stop though.
Also, even if I keep mine on shuffle, it still starts at the beginning. I think it should at least start on a random song...

Hmm..I aways choose what I want to hear and start it playing and then put the headphones on...Are you saying when You click the button on the earphones to just start playing music? Does it play the songs from the first album on your phone...Like Allman Bros, for example (being that A is the start) or does it "shuffle" them..What exactly is going on again?

Starts at first song that begins with A

That is probably a default setting. You need to choose an album or song and then start. If you just plug and play, the ipod doesn't know what you want and just starts from the beginning.
BTW: this is just a wild guess. I don't have any earphones with a clicker handy to try this out.

Dturner has right. You have to choose your song, then hit the play button. Otherwise the iPod won't know which song you will play. So you have to do it manually.
Just choose a artist then a album, play the first song and then it will play all the songs in the album.
