View Full Version : iphone 3g wont boot after downgrading 2.2 to 2.1

hi everyone
i have a problem with my iphone 3g .can anyone sort it how to fix.
i upgraded my jailbroken iphone 3g to 2.2 then i have restored it to factory settings and restored it to 2.1.then after reboot it hang up showing connect to itunes.itunes cant detect the phone .
so if anyone can sort it out.please help me out.everythng is appreciated

That is because you can't just simply go back to 2.1 after you updated to 2.2. Can't do it.

Connect it to iTunes and just restore it. It will be 2.2.

You have to put it in DFU mode.

I don't do it that way.
I connect to iTunes, turn off my iPhone, then do the both buttons for 10, home button for 10 - which works.
I may try it this way next time as it seems to be "quicker". Though my way equally works every time.
