Hey guys, well my friend just got his iPhone replaced.
And I didn't dress out today in Gym so he asked
me to hold his iPhone for him while he was playing soccer.
So I did, and I wanted to see what he had on his phone
and when I tapped safari it asked for a password?
It was 0000 (manufacture) lol but this really
freaked me out lol Cuz I really wanna do it
to my phone. How do I do this?
Idk if it's just his phone or not, because
he got his replaced about 2 weeks ago.
Mines is still a March returned model.
We both are running 2.2, so can you guys help?
thanks! :laugh2:

Whoa... you're right! I've never tried it, but I just enabled it and all sorts of stuff started disappearing.

I honestly don't know what's up with that. Seems like a bug... possibly with jailbreaking. Good job on fnding it!

Ur welcome y'all!
Its' a real cool thing!
iWould love to lock up my pictures
iPod, and texts and stuff
it's a real cool feature.
And I think it has somethnig to do with jailbreaking
because his iPhone is indeed jailbroken.
I hate that basta*d! Apple refused my iPhone
and told me pay up 200 and we swap it out.
But he came into the store as soon as I was leaving
and HE LEFT WITH A BRAND NEW (well refurb)
IPHONE! I WAS SO MAD! UGGH! but all well.
My fault for buying a used iPhone. But Back to the topic
I wanna know what that wierd app or w.e is.
If it's jailbroken and you got it please share!

Yea, I saw that, but it seems if you remember to undo it before you do other things (upgrading, etc) and not mix it w/intelliscreen, you should be good.

Ok nvmd, supposedly version 4.0 doesn't crash the phone.
Still, as much as I wanna download, I'm not going to.
I'm left skeptical about it. So I guess
I Am Not Downloading it.

If his iPhone (his=friend) crashes
then I will know why Lol. I'll
let him figure out for himself why it crashed
because he thinks he knows more
about jailbreaking than I do.
BTW If he was smart, he woulda used quickpwn to jailbreak
2.2, he used winpwn, smarta$$ lol.
BTW, his iPhone is REAALLLL Laggy!
i mean its very bad, AND ITS ONLY 2 WEEKS OLD.
So im guessing some of these jailbreaking apps
are doing the phone bad.

Or he never reboots the device to clear it out every now and again.

So what's wrong with using pwnage instead of quickpwn? Quickpwn has jacked my phone up every single time, pwnage has not... I consider myself "smart" and have been jailbreaking from the days of appsnap....

I'm honestly curious why you think one is better than the other? Also, pwnage prevents the baseband upgrade so there's still the potential to do a software unlock in the future...

"some seriously strong cryptography, namely 448-bit Blowfish with Cipher Block Chaning (CBC) and randomized salt."

holy **** on an alter.. what could you possibly have on your phone that would require encryption the new born baby jesus couldn't hack.

iDk I just think, knowing there is a faster way to unlock and jailbreak an iPhone to use it. But seeing that some iPhones dont like quickpwn then I guess that sucks for you guys.

I'm not quite as paranoid, but I use 256-bit AES encryption provided by eWallet (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/iphone/products_ewallet.php).
