Whenever I get a text, and don't immediately read it, I get an alert (the same sound) approximately 5, then 10 minutes later. Is there a way to only hear one alert?

Nope - you can only turn the sound on/off in the "Settings"!

EDIT: I really hope Apple "fix" this one with a choice of: No sound, 1 time, every 5 minute, every 30 minutes etc....

yea, this is a new feature from one of the firmware upgrades, I think. That is the one thing I miss from my blackberry--lots of choices on ringtone setups.

The funny thing is, it easy for Apple's iPhone department to program these standard features/settings - but they donīt!?
