View Full Version : Anybody knows a software for remote programming with js-like language?

With the first release of Cydia, I remember there was a software that allowed to create programs from a computer by connecting to the iphone with the browser to an specific port, and it was very powerful..

I can't find it now, even in google.. so does anybody knows at least the name of that application?

Connecting the computers Internet browser directly to the iPhone - and make applications this way? Or do you mean that you install a computer program for programming, and iPhone application for the connection between these?

The program gets installed only in the phone.. and it has a web server which allows you to connect from your computer with any browser.. and you get to a web page with all the necessary tools for developing, even uploading an icon and saving in the iPhone without any further proccess.

It has full access to the accelerometer, wifi, etc.. and other things I still don't know because I just used if for a few days. It was around 3 months ago.

Doesn't anybody knows it? I really want it back... :(

I found it!!

It name was JIGGY, and unfortunately it was only for 1.4 :(

it was glorious.. making any software with no compiling, no nothing..

I'll take a look at toolchain, but I'm afraid there's only one JIGGY..

YES!...you're right....I remember this app from my old 1V iPhone in Installer! :laugh2:

just thinking if there isn't already something out there replacing jiggy, there most likely will be in the future.

I remember Jiggy as being a buggy piece of crap that was more trouble than it was worth to the end user in most cases.... :(

Sorry to be a doggy downer.

I never thought of Jiggy as an end-user software creator, but for my personal use. There are several cases where you need a software to do some things for yourself, and it was so confortable to have everything inside the same phone.
