What are repositories in Cydia and how are they of any use? I installed one and there isn't an i con on thd home screen or any changes of that matter... Please post your ideas

repositories just add more stuff to download trough cydia.

the best way to get everything out of cydia is to install the stefwitts repo and then go to changes tab and intstall the all sources. this will give you the most downloadable content.

Where will that stuff apear. Just in the regular cydia/sections ?

yea when you first install it go to the changes tab and hit refresh and let it sit there until it stops loading there should be a lot of new stuff that pops up. If you already have done that the stuff will be spread all throughout cydia. just look in the sections tab and have fun snooping around.

i pressed install and an error popped up but some new stuff poped out anyway

yea you get an error but you now have a ton more stuff.

i got it an some are really cool. Is it good if i get all the repositories? Can that hurt the iphone?

No it wont hurt the phone but there are a lot that are in other languages.

Yea get the "all sources" and then you'll have everything. Make sure to get Cycorder, a full-fledged video recorder with sound. I love that thing

yeah i got everything in english some things are cool some i dont need. What about "installer". Whats there that i could use. I saw that installer only had a few things

^^Installer was king pre 2.0+ FW. Cydia is where it's at now. Personally, I wouldn't even bother with Installer.

i think i've installed repositories, but im not sure. I check "manage" udner cydia and is not there, how can I tell i installed yet or not

If its not there then u probably havnt ever downloaded. Also. Do a boot. Booting has solved many problems for me in the past

I have installed Cydia and Installer. On Installer there are only 6 sources for you to add. 6? how rubbish

Installer was only good, back in the days of 1.1.4

anyone got a list of decent sources for Cydia?
