Help - Uploading Apps

Hey guys. So heres the deal, I got my iphone, and my friend synced it with his computer, uploading all of his apps. I now try and sync things with my own mac and it basically says it will be erased first. Any ideas?

This is what Apple's copy protection does. Those apps belong to him and his iTunes account, so you won't be able to keep them and continue to use the Appstore or iTunes at all unless you use his account. If you want to use yours, you need to buy the apps you want.

Ya that's what I guessed. The problem is, even if I try and sync when it mentions removing all those apps, it still wont sync. I desperately do not want to restore...
