This is getting out of control!!! So annoying!!!! 1.x days I miss you so :( !! With 2.0 I decided to suffer through it, thinking they had their safari figured do maybe 2.0 had a glitch. After 2.1 it started getting to me badly, I held back a lot of cussing, but did give it a few good squeezes. I still had hopes for 2.2, if I could hold on just a bit longer!!!!

So 2.2 installed, I'm thinking yes no more!! I'm free!! But I was only free for a day and then it began!!!

I drive a semi and I have been throwing this phone in my truck on a regular basis now. Almost every other page it throws me back home, I have to reload each time it does. I can't even do a simple eBay purchase without loving in 3-4 times due to it crashing!!!

Luckely I was able to finish this thread without a single throw!

wow. I have no crashes. I would try a restore as new phone if you have not tried yet. I have had maybe one safari crash since 2.2. That just don't sound right.

yeah, that sounds like Safari has been corrupted or something.

click restore in iTunes.

I agree with 2.1 my safari would crash on any non mobile page. I couldn't load the apple page or anything. I haven't had a crash yet with 2.2.

I'll have to ask you guy's if your are jailbroken or not? My 2.2 3G non-jailbroken don't crash in Safari.

yeah... its true, safari would crash on me EVERY SINGLE time i used it. way too annoying so i just stopped using it as much. im probably gonna have to do a restore anyways so ill, let yall know if it improves any...

(oh and btw, i was on 2.1 jailbroke)

Why doesn't anyone EVER list the sites that crash for them. EVER. Doncha think that might have some relevance? Confirmation from others goes a long way towards revealing actual bugs.

I experience a safari crash but once in a blue moon now that I'm stock. and it's almost always on Slashdot.org

Safari will crash on websites that have a lot going on... Don't ask me why, but i tried fubar.com on it a few times, and it's pretty useless there. Lots of drop down menus, pop-ups etc.

But for most sites, it works ok... with an occasional crash... but nothing I'd actually call regular.

Try the light version of EiC? This site never crashes for me on my phone when using that. :)

I havent had any crashes in safari since 2.2
I used to get them all the time on JB 1.1.4 and then a few on 2.0 and 2.1 or whatever

I have never seen any improvement on any upgrade from 1.0.1 all the way up through 2.2. Jailbroken or no, Safari crashes every 10 minutes. Constantly.


I REALLY want to know how Opera is running on the iPhones.

I get crashed daily expecially after i jailbroke my phone and then restored to normal, still crashes. Maybe 3.0 multi core wont crash anymore
