Bypass proxy in ipod touch 2.1

I have an iPhone, but I think I can help.
To kill it in WiFi, go to your connection and hit the blue arrow to the right. that should take you into your connection settings.
At the bottom, there are choices for HTTP Proxy. OFF MANUAL AUTO
Mine is always off.
