Quickpwn works only halfway!

Hey guys, i finally got quickpwn to work but it doesnt go any further then the recovery mode. it wont let me go to the next step as hold the home button for 5 seconds or anything. i looked online at some tutorials and videos and said that it just takes couple of seconds. Mine didnt do anything for 15 minutes. i just disconnected and restored...Any help please? im so close..

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling QuickPwn.

I just did that and i have the same problem, it just never goes on the next step. Any other ideas?

where are you downloading it from? using a mac or windows?

from quickpwn.com their official site for it...i have windows vista, and the .net framework is current.

try going into your task manager and ending all the processes that have to do with apple, Itunes, and Ipod. I didnt have any problems with using Quickpwn on my vista machines.

edit: make sure you plug the phone in first and then end all processes and close out itunes.

Have you tried redownloading the jailbreak?? Sounds like u had the same problem I had. I redownloaded qwkpwn and tryed the jailbreak again after the first one never compleatingand the second one worked on the first try.

thanks for your helo and yes i have tried your seggestion and they have not worked either. i really want this thing and i dont want to just quit trying because i wasted a full day. i dont understand what im doing wrong, do i have to take everything from my ipod off,, like set a new iphone? could that work? please

well I always restore, set up as new phone, and then jailbreak. With that said it should be working. If you do some more searching there was a simuliar post about this situation and they solved the problem.

I have searched and activated the telnet client and im about to do it...i also set the iphone as a new device.

man I don't know... the only other option is see if you can find another pc to use. Maybe try a XP machine.

Is there a way i can pay to just get it done? Wow. Without sending it im? I tried on my old windows xp and quickpwn just woukdn work so i dunno. Any help? Some program i can pay for that will work for sure?

Could somepne give me their own idiot proof tutorial? Maybe im not understanding thr online blog tutorials and any of the main ones? If someone could explain more easily i would be verry thankfull. I really want this to work. I want to have more fun with the iphone since apple cut its balls off

Press the main link to download the quikpwn file. It will take you to zshare. Press to download and when windows gives you the SAVE or RUN option, run it instead of saving it to your desktop.. I had the same problem and thats what I did to get it to work.

Thank you guys for all the help my iphone is now jailbroken i have some problems with winterboard..i chose a theme installed it and checked it in winterboard....and then doesnt appear

Did OJ's solution work? In winterboard you should just check it and then push the home button. It should the freeze up and respring.

Well i got an "springboard theme" Vista and i checked it in the winterboard...and clicked home and it froze for a sec...then it sended me to the wallpaper "locked" screen and then i clicked unlock and nothing changed? is tehre certain themes i have to get? Is tehr a guide? or should i get Springboard...what is the difference between Springboard Summerboard and Winterboard?

Try this download another theme and make sure it says winterboard and then see if it will work if it doesn't go into cydia> manage> winterboard and reinstall.

It worked right like what u said? alright now? any cool little tweaks or hack i could do? any guide i should follow for cool stuff or what?

Well go into cydia>sources>install the steffwits source and then install all sources. That will open up a lot of new stuff. I suggest you get into a wifi spot before trying to Load a lot of stuff.

Actually mine was getting stuck trying
to locate the 2.2 firmware. I had tried
everything from downloading it to the
desktop to browsing into itunes for it
but as soon as I selected "RUN" as
opposed to "SAVE" everything worked
like it always did...
