I finally made the transition from PC to Mac by purchasing a Macbook Pro, but I am concerned about my iPhone. Currently, my iPhone corresponds with my PC so what exactly do I have to do to make my iPhone sync to my newly purchased Macbook Pro?

just plug it in and go to itunes and there is a button on the top left of the menu bar that should read authorize this computer. push it and type in your password and it will all be right there for you to sync. if you need any advice or help on using your new MBP let us know. CONGRATULATIONS! I just made the switch a few weeks ago with the 2.4 GHZ macbook and Im not sad one bit. The Macs multitask amazingly and are just fun to sit around and use.

Also too, make sure to click MERGE contacts and calendars and not replace. replace will wipe out the phone of contacts and calendars. as for music and apps, when you sync to the new computers library, it will delete all your music and replace it with whats on the new machine, so make sure to transfer all that music over!! As for the apps, the mac will pull copies off the phone for ya to iTunes, but keep them in the same place on your phone that they were before.
Ringtones, picture folders and video/podcasts will be the same, in order to sync, iTunes will erase them and re-load them. So make sure to get those over to the mac too. I just went through this a month ago! All went 110% smooth though.
