hi i bought my iphone mid last year now all unlocked and had installer on it for 3rd party apps. i used the installer to get apps all the time and the installer had updates now and then to keep it up to date. all was fine until i updated it a couple of months ago and now my installer program on my iphone just crashes and goes back to the iphone display.
Is there anyway of rolling back the installer...or deleting it and starting fresh?

If you're on 2.whatever FW Installer is virtually useless. Cydia is where to be!

The above applies to v1, too. Are you on pre 2.0 FW?

I don't know why you'd still want to be on such and old FW, 2.2 can be unlocked on v1's.
However, to fix your problem I believe you have to SSH into/var/mobile/Library/Installer and remove the remotepackage.plist. When Installer reboots it will build a new one.

Quickpwn appears to be the easiest way to jb/unlock a v1. Check it out...

You can use a program call Diskaid to SSH into the phone.

It might be in another location. Apple changed up the file locations so it might be somewhere else. You might have to do some research to find it.

Glad it worked out. If the same thing happens again you'll just have to repeat the process.
