Settle down.:gasp: I'm talking about the real OJ. Got 15 years in prison. I hope he serves all 15 of them. What goes around, comes around.

I couldn't agree more. It's good to see he will serve a decent amount of time. At least, I hope he serves the majority of it.

I don't think they can take his previous trials into account for his armed robbery sentence. Otherwise it would be like an indirect double jeopardy of sorts.

Tarek, I'm sorry, but come on! We're all fully aware of how much you dislike OJ, but in every thread that mentions even the slightest thing about him?

How old are we again?

I believe in the sentencing the judge stated she could not take into consideration his prior trial. I am not big on the karma thing but some justice was finally done here.

Who's this oj poster guy? And if he's so hateful like you guys say (tarek icafe) what makes your hate for him any less appealing tthan what he does? I cant really see any difference.
We must learn to not trespass against those that trespass against us.

Saverino, I am seventeen but I was just kidding. I don't hate OJ by the way. We all have different opinions especially about something as sensitive as religion. OJ expresses it in an angry way, yeah why not? That still doesn't affect me, so as I said, my post was meant to be sarcastic.

i have to agree with coasts. the punishment does not fit the crime that he was being tried for. The truth is, whether he was truly guilty of his previous crime or not, he was found innocent by his peers. Like Alex said, this is borderline double jeopardy of sorts. I despise him and am pretty sure he did commit the murders, but he was on trial for robbery here, not murder.

No whether or not he deserves to be in jail for life is a different story. I think he does.

Yes I am in Egypt now. It is a beautiful country for tourists to go see the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and other historical figures. Also going to Luxor and Aswan to see and learn about the history of Egypt is awesome, there are awesome museums there too. However, it isn't that good for citizens (people who live there) since the government sucks.

I respectively disagree. Ten counts including Attempted Armed Kidnapping is nothing to sneeze at. A gun VERY EASILY could have gun off in that hotel room with innocent occupants less than 10 feet away in all the rooms surrounding the one they were in. The laws in Nevada have been in place long before OJ Simpson showed up and he still didn't get the maximum that was allowed by law. Which he should have gotten anyway, imho.

How you guys can accuse the Justice system of breaking down here is crazy(no offense)..... Where it broke down was in California in 1995.

In Florida if you commit a crime, any crime, with a gun it's a mandatory 10 year sentence. If you use the gun, it's 20 years and if someone is shot or killed it's life.

Spot on Buford. 15 years is nothing for this crime, regardless of his history.... he really got off easy. He could have gotten up to life.

OJ is what, 61 these days right? If so, it very well could be the rest of his life. I wonder where he'll serve the sentence.

And the sad part IMO is that he won't serve that many.

[back OT] OJ is going to be at least 70 when he gets out, assuming he has to wait 9 years for his first parole hearing. Will he get released then? My guess is he may not. Anyway, he will be a tired, forgotten old man by the time he does get out, maybe dead. But for the grace of God, there go I.
