i jailbroke my phone and got it all worked out, but how can i change my background and icons? i searched here and couldnt find how. also can i get the cydia? or do i have to download it to the computer and sync the phone? thanks.

Download Winterboard from Cydia. That app controls the themes. Then you can download as many themes as you want and activate them in Winterboard by placing a check mark next to the theme you want to use.

Also you should already have Cydia on your phone unless you unselected it during the jailbreak. If you did then you'll have to re-jailbreak.

thank you, but also like say i take a picture of my little girl, how can i have that as my background vs it just being black now?

read vegas reply, take your picture, set as wallpaper, then select user wallpaper in winterboard.. if it does not show up put it higher on the list in winterboard.
