iphone 3G video camera?

Hello everyone,
Just recently upgraded my Iphone to a 3G and I love it. I just wondered why Iphone never came with video recording. I remember seeing somewhere on the internet about a program that allows the Iphone the capability of recording video. Could anyone help me with this? Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.

You have to Jailbreak your iPhone first, after you have Cydia installed, download "Cycorder" and....BAM! You got yourself an iPhone with video capabilities :wink:

because video recorders on cell phones suck, you can get better video quality from a $50 digi-cam

I use Cycorder installed. It does what I need. I am able to record & view the videos. I can also copy them to my computer using the "iPhone Browser or Explorer, whatever it's called.

To make it easier for you, I'll write down how to take the videos from the iPhone to the Computer:

When you record a video, it is placed as a timestamped Quicktime .mov file in /var/mobile/Media/Videos.

In order to access (view) those folders on the iPhone using your computer, you have to download this program on your PC - iPhoneBrowser (http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/) (click on the name for the URL).

Cycorder Is the better of the video recorders. Quality is actually quite good too.

Brandon, you might have better luck starting a new thread. You might also try browsing and searching a bit more, depending on if it's an older firmware version that already has a jailbreak walkthrough laying around
