apple in ear headphones

on the site it mentions nothing about these headphones being compatible with the iphone. it meantions compatibility with the touch though. why would these headphones have remote and mic and not be iphone compatible? since it is also the same plug as the headphones that come with the iphone how would these headphones not work with the iphone?

All functions except volume control work on both iPhones. I'd paste a

i am having problem ,, am not able to connect my creative speakers with i phone... any help> ? no sound comes even if the song plays,,, from speakers.. and i think headfones will have this same problem!
