Get something practical. Not to be a stick in the mud, but you'll thank yourself later.
Hate to say it and I'm sure I'll get flack for it, but I wouldn't be buying American these days...
Congrats on the new freedom!

Congratulations mate, I swear I am really happy for you. Do you want to know why? Because I've been driving without a license (since I'm 17) for over a year now, but they made new driving laws and rules in my country so it's really hard to nowadays. I got busted a few days ago, they took away the car's license and they were supposed to take the car as well but I had to escape from them. Anyhow, I am getting mine in August, 09 :(. Long way to go but it's worth it, I'll get it on my birthday! That's for sure.

Well, it is when you are driving in secret hahaha. I always took either my mom's or my dad's cars when they were going to stay at home or if my dad was traveling. At that time, my dad was in London.

Well, I was driving my dad's BMW 525i. My friend and I were on the highway and I was eating chicken popcorns from KFC. The guy was talking to me, I was like 'what can I do? I forgot the wallet, sir' while I was eating chicken popcorn roflmao. When I thought of it afterwards, that's even more disrespectful than escaping.
It was a fun day anyway, I went and sleptover my friend's house because we went for a couple of drinks after the incident, and I didn't want my mom to smell anything. =/

Congrats, Josh! This is morbid, but I remember thinking when I got my first vehicle (which, by the way, was named Patches because every panel was a different shade) that I have the power to kill someone every time I get into this car. Be very careful; never drink and drive, and don't talk on your phone, either. Other than that? Enjoy your new privilege! I've always loved to drive, and I still do.

Exactly......enjoy your new privilege. I just had my privilege removed for 6 months due to an episode with my epilepsy. So now I can't drive. Gives me more time to post here I guess.:tounge:

Did you have a grand mal? I'm so sorry, that does suck. Hopefully the next 6 months will fly by...and we're always happy to see more posts from you.

Yeah it was a grand mal. I had it at work. I remember kinda "coming to" and somehow I found one of the guys that works for me in a conference room, he was scared because he could visually tell that something was wrong with me. After he was kind of confronting me asking what was wrong, (which I probably was not certain of at the time) I went to head to my office stumbling into some ladies in the hallway who probably thought I was on crack!! My pupils were the size of pie pans! LOL. Luckily I don't lose control of my bladder or anything like that. I do bite the living hell out of the sides of my tongue though and lose quite a bit of short term memory. After one of my guys gave me a ride home that night, I had another one at home for my wife to witness. She called my family and they took me to the ER. There they pumped me full of meds that I had been weaned off of. It was not a fun experience at all. I am glad to be getting back to normal. My new meds cost me $280 a month. There is always a positive though.......now I get to spend more time with all of you great folks!!!!!!!!!:laugh2:
