Double check this. I am pretty sure you can have unlimited txt on a family plan. But no, if you wanted a 200 txt msg plan there is no sharing that.

Get black and get a case for it. Movin' on up...

Of course, the real debate is 8GB vs 16GB. If I had it to do over again, I would opted for 8GB. I'm pretty good about managing what's on my iPhone and I also have a good amount of apps installed. Never had an issue with storage.

I'd go for the black one, with an incase slider.

I like my white 3G. Although I'm a little bias, I prefer white on a lot of stuff (shoes, etc). It looks clean, and stays clean - contrary to speculation before the release.

I prefer white too. I was also looking into AT&T's family plan, the website is not very clear on their family plans. I have decided just to go in and ask all these questions about sharing txt, etc.

That's because you have a Bold, Storm, G1, and Q to hold all your media. I'm sure none of them get too full :tounge:

You are correct sir. Not to mention my graveyard of cellphones. Curve, Treos, iPhone 1st gen and assorted Q's.

Whatever color you choose, the Incase can effectively "replace" that color. My wife has the white iPhone with a white InCase. Even if she had a black iPhone 3G, you would think her phone is white. I wish we sold here, because I think the InCase Slider rocks.

I have a black iphone with a white case. I had no idea until I started hanging out @ EIC that there 2 colors for the iPhones now. Nor did I know that there used to be a silver one (which would have been my preference).

We have an unlimited family text plan (US texting only) for $30 a month.

When i go to ATT do i have to buy the iphone with cash, or can i use a debit/credit card

They accept cash AGAIN. They stopped for awhile but i think they take it again. Certainly if youre already a customer. I got my white one with cqsh a couple months ago.

You can most certainly have unlimited txt on a family plan with the 3G.

I think the InCase Slider rocks.
Ditto that. I really like mine.

The white one looks awesome and better than the black one. But maybe that's because I already have the black one? :D.

Update:
Got 3g 16 gb today
I am a happy man , I also picked up a motopureH15 Bluetooth headset
Didn't get a case yet because the selection sucked.
One question did you guys find that plugging the USB charger into the iPhone is more difficult than v1 like u kinda have to jam it in there

TarekElsakka
12-05-2008, 11:57 PM
I've never tried the v1. But plugging the USB cable into the iPod Touch (1st gen) is definitely easier than in the iPhone 3G. Congratulations for the iPhone 3G. By the way, which color did you buy?

I'm guessing black.

kenneth

Yea you have to get the charger in the "right" spot or it can be a PITA to get in correctly.

Does it add a lot of bulk? And/or remove shape from the phone?

Could not agree more.

It is very form fitting. Adds about as little bulk as you can get and still have a case.

Witness

You really don't even notice the bulk at all.

I don't. I don't see how you could have a hard case to be any thinner. I have the gun metal case and really like it.
Do you think they are bulky?

Not at all Turner. I have the normal matte black one.

I think when I read the first quote, I put a ? there making me think that you thought it was bulky instead of reinforcing what I was saying.:laugh2:

What a difference a sentence can make with a ? or a period.

kenneth

I have the incase slider as well in matte black. I feel weird when I take the phone out of it. Mine is starting to chip off and be shiny black but I have heard that incase will send you a brand new one no charge.

Anyone have any opinions on the hard, smooth Incases vs. the soft-touch ones?

(sorry if I sort of threw this thread off-topic.)

the hard incase rocks. I have the slider and I dont think I could use another case.

If the faceplate of a white iPhone was also white, I'd get one in a heartbeat.

But since they arn't..
