I was getting my Christmas list ready when i came upon this

Compatibility Information

The remote and mic are supported only by iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (120GB), and iPod touch (2nd generation). Audio is supported by all iPod models.




they don't work with the iphone? WTF is up with that?

It has been up for a while on Apple's online store and the iPhone was never listed as being compatible. Regardless, I also think it's quite lame. I wonder if there's a software update that can enable this on the iPhone, though...

i mean why not? the original set of buds that came out with the mic where from the iphone, what makes there different that they can't be used with the iphone?

heh, i guess if they are not computable i have to look for others that I want

I've heard in another thread that it's only the volume control that does not work.
