KPN and/or T-Mobile subscription

Hello fellow members,

I have a iPhone 3G with a dutch KPN (http://www.kpn.com/) subscription and I have a SIM-only card subscription from T-Mobile (http://www.t-mobile.nl/).

The default simcard that came with the iPhone 3G is the dutch KPN (http://www.kpn.com/) subscription, If I insert the T-Mobile simcard, iTunes asks to download a carrier update and after that, I can make calls and sms people. But there aren't 3G settings adjustable like APN, username and password and on the dutch KPN (http://www.kpn.com/) subscription there are 3G settings to adjust.

What I am trying to say is that why I don't have a 3G connection with my t-mobile simcard and with the KPN subscription, I have.

What can cause the problem, I have a internet subscription on my t-mobile subscription without limits.

Has this to do that the iPhone might be locked to the provider (3G settings I mean)?

I'm not sure about non-us T-Mobile frequencies, but from what I've heard (and if this has NOTHING to do with your question, I'm sorry) the iPhone 3G isn't made to accept the radio 3G band that T-Mobile broadcasts 3G in.
