Hi Guys,

my iPhone suddenly displays all my pictures in the Camera Roll are blurry. So to be clear, the iPhone does not take blurry pictures, they look great on flicker, they are just blurry in the iPhone Photo Album.

Here are maybe some clues. I use an application called Pano. This application allows me to take panoramic pictures. All the pictures taken with Pano are still sharp in the Photo Album.

Also I just noticed this after the 2.2 update. Last time that I saw all pictuers sharp was on Nov 13th, then I check yesterday and every pictuers (beside the one taken with Pano) are blurry.

Appricate your help on this.

UPDATE: It looks like 2.2 update broke something with the AirMe application. All pictures taken AirMe have this issues. The AirMe support team is working on a solution.

Many people (including me) are having problems with all photos are saved to the camera roll from an email. They appear blurry. This was not a problem before 2.2. Strangely, it has also retroactively caused all photos that were saved from email (even before 2.2) to suddenly appear blurry. This is maddening and after looking around various forums, I've found at least 150 postings on this.

its most likly a problem of the updates backup screwing with the thumb.db file... have you tried taking them all off the phone and then resyncing them? if not take them off again and ssh into the phone and delete the thumb.db file and resync.... all i can think of.... i havent updated to 2.2 so i havent ran into this yet but at least you have something to try

Just to clarify, when I receive a photo in an email it appears clear and sharp in the email. If I then save it to the camera roll, it appears blurry. The thought that it is converting the photos to thumbnails and then failing to display the full resolution version sounds right. I suppose there's no fix for this until Apple release an update?
