Sorry if this has already been asked....

I was researching the iPhone Bluetooth Headset and Dual Dock that comes with the purchase.

Here is a line that caught me attention towards the bottom describing features of the Dual Dock:

"Control playback from a distance using an Apple Remote."

The iPhone doesn't currently allow control with the Apple Remote. Trust me, I tried pointing one at it and it does nothing. Looking at the front of the Dual Dock doesn't show any infrared port like the Universal Dock. I can only imagine that the iPhone also has an infrared port next to the proximity port.

So by plugging the iPhone into the Dual Dock, you should be able to control your iPhone from a distance with the Apple Remote! Nice...unless it's a feature they need to enable with a furture software update.

You can put the iPhone in the Universal Dock. That will solve your problem.

The iPhone will then respond to the Apple Remote!

were you just pointing the remote at the iphone or was it in the dock when you tried it?

I honestly never saw a line like that on the apple description.
