constant static on phone! =( help asap pleaseee

so i'm constantly hearing static on my phone (3g)..and it comes out of the top speaker..like where i hear people talking when talking on the phone (not the speakers that is used with the ipod) also, i can even hear it when i'm not even talking on the phone sometimes...it's really annoying and i can barely hear the person when i'm on the phone

does anyone know how to fix this? :frown:

Id take it back to the Apple store and get it replaced if it were me.

Try going into Settings, General, Resets, and reset all settings. If it doesn't correct it, then do as the poster above me suggested and make an appointment to see a genius.
