iPhone and Wifi Addressing

When I first got my ipod, the Wifi worked for a moment. Now it doesn't.

I've been seraching meny forums and tried many remedies.

I have my iphone set to DHCP, however, the iphone's IP address looks awkward.

IP: 169.254.55.219 (should be 192.x.x.x)
subnet: 255.255.0.0 (should be 255.255.255.0)

What does causing my iphone to get these properties? I am using a 10 digit WEP hex code at home.

thing I have tried:

-restarted my router
-restarted my iphone wifi connection
-included the DNS's in my iphone
