My iPhone CRACKED! HELP ME!

Help me guys! I was taking my iphone out of the dock
and i noticed a bottom part of the mic is coming off!!!
WHAT CAN I DO!!
IT WONT GO BACK IN
I TRIED PUSHING IT IN A BIT AND THE PHONE
BEGAN ACTING WIERD. PLEASE HELP ME! WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Is it the whole bottom black part? The cover? Or the actual mic?

it's only a small part of what's covering the mic. I'm afraid if it breaks anymore the mic itself wil fall out, the phone is already acting wierd!

On the back of the phone, is there a big gap on the mic side where the black cover, and aluminum meet?

No, its only on the direct bottom og my iPhone. A small part of the entire black cover of the bottom is coming off.

Are you sure it just didn't get bent while you were removing it from the dock?

I've never heard of that happening, but its a possibility...

A little piece bent off and is almost falling off. I cant push it back it, it keeps poking out. Isn't this really isn't my fualt. Shouldn't apple replace it? knowing their products damaged it in the first place?

I think they would replace it if this was a well-known problem occurring with many iPhone owners.

But most likely, if you're out of warranty, Apple won't really care unless it's some manufacturers defect thing.

I don't get it, its not my fault, i had to push it off the duck cuz some part of the dock caught onto that little piece and broke it off! If it has happened they better replace it. I'll throw a real ***** fit at genius bar because I do not want to walk around with a broken phone that can probably be loosing pieces through that little crack

Yah. The original owner bought it in September, got it exchanged in March.

Lol, all well, Some local people here in Orlando told me they can give my iPhone an entire new body for 100. That's fair enough for me.

my local apple store told me that as long as the phone didn't have water damage and wasn't completely shattered, they will let you buy a replacement v1 for $199. Better deal than a new case for $100.

Ok, yah the fone is great! no cracks, only a scratch on the screen, and the housing has alot fo scratches. But ok I will need to get it replaced at an Apple Store.

I'll have to raise ANOTHER 200.00 for another iPhone I guess. BUT THEY BETTER NOT EXPECT ME TO GIVE IT UP FOR THE NEW ONE! UNLESS THEY DISCOUNT THAT PRICE! I hate this! I am jobless at the moment, my friend's dad handed over the restraunt to some other guy for I believe.......700,000? And I can't apply at a store untill April! I am 15, and i gotta be 16 to work in retail stores. :'(

well then...give it to apple and buy the replacement, then sell the replacement on craigslist for 350 (easy to do) then you buy a 3g for $199...net cost to you ...$50

But I am broke. I can't come up with 200.00 with this economy. And in my area iPhones aren't selling for much. And how can I buy an Iphone 3g for 200.00 if I CANT GET A CONTRACT. I am only 15 and my parents would enver pay for that massive bill.

I called up APple Store, the lady said she needs to see it because that's rare but she says that has happened before. Hopefully they replace it for free. Thank god 2.2 is out because now i don't have to activate it! Altough I will loose all my apps! (jailbroken ones)

Yah I told the lady, she's like can you hold on a sec, ima ask one of the geniuses about it. And she's like hello? and i said yes im here, and she's like he recoomended you bring your phone in and we will check it out for u, unfortuntly we can't give quotes over the phone because we need to see the phone physically, but we have had a few people with this issue, so just bring it in and we will give it a look.

no. my iphone is still surving. though on a limp, my poor baby is trying to pull through. I didnt make it to my macbar appointment because my dumba$$ uncle had to be bailed out of jail (lol some drunk drivin thing)
but i will try again hopefully saturday or sunday. If I cant get it repaid or get it exchanged then I will have to start saving up for him

This happened to my iPhone too but I didn't even think much of it. I mean it's been like that for quite a while and nothing bad has come of it. I dont know if that calms your nerves or anything, but that's how it's been for me. And I've dropped mine a couple times and all that lol.

I tried, but they're booked solid until idk when. I checked all the 3 of them in my are and all are booked. Only days available are tomorrow but I cant go tomorrow because I can't drive. And i go Saturdays because those are the days my parents take me to the mall to go shopping lol

Well they didn't accept it. They told me I will have to pay 200 to get it replaced.
