App Update Notification not working

Hello. For some reason, when updates are available for my apps, I am not getting automatic notification of this on my iPhone. I only know of the updates if I enter the App Store, and press Updates to search for them.

I used to get a notification on the App Store icon on the Home Screen when one was available, and my wife still gets hers automatically . Any idea what might have caused this to stop working?

The app store checks for updates in the back, notifications arent available, yet

hmm. Well, my wife never clicks on the App Store but every once in a while a number just appears over her App Store indicating updates are available. It definitely does this, and it definitely did this on my iPhone in the past. So, any help with why this (whether you call then notifications or something else) is no longer working?

This is the only way I have ever gotten them. Don't recall them popping up automatically. Not doubting you, just stating.:smile:

He's probably refering to a number on the apps icon that represents how many apps he has on his phone that has an update for it.
