Will the 3G work with any standard Ipod docking station?

I would like to get a clock radio/am-fm tuner/CD/mp3 player combo to dock my iphone into, but I'm not sure if it will work with any that an ipod works with. I see there are deals on them on Black Friday, just curious.

The pin configuration was changed on the 3G. So many of these docks will probably work, but if the 3G isn't listed it may not charge so I would stick with something that is 3G compatible.

My 3g works on all of my docks. I have an ihome and alpine radio in my truck. It just doesnt charge on them, that is what was changed on the 3g.
