Here you go, a pocket projector that will be announced on Dec. 1st and on sale the 21st. Unfortunately, I think it's initially only going to be in Japan.

50,000.00 JPY

=

524.429 USD

Japan Yen United States Dollars 1 JPY = 0.0104886 USD 1 USD = 95.3419 JPY

Not too shabby. I couldn't determine the amount of projector throw it has, though. If the photo shows a max working distance, this will be one of those techy geek gotta haves, but if you can get at least twice that much viewing area, it would be pretty cool!

I have seen these before, texas instruments was thinking about teaming up with a cell phone company to make a phone that had a built in dlp projector. It looked sweet but i am not sure how much use something like that would be. It would have to be dark and you would have to be close to the wall or a screen to see the picture.

I think you can use it up to 6 feet away. Not sure about the brightness. Apple has apparently teamed up with them on this and is making compatible versions for iPods and iPhones. It would be awesome on a plane trip.
But at 500 bucks, it's out of my price range till i hit the lottery.
