What are you opinions? I think by far it is worth the switch and the money, AT&T has made me happier than any other service I have been with (Nextel/Sprint who I despise, Verizon). AT&T is very friendly too and when I speak with staff they sound like they graduated middle school (which can't be said for some of these services). The data plans, etc can be a little pricey, but its about the same as the rest and totally worth it. But maybe I'm wrong, what have been your experiences?

I agree with you 100 percent Miami, I bought my iPhone from an At&t store, and the reps really new their stuff, from plans to activation it was quite painless.
Yes the data is a bit inflated, but you really can't find much of a bargain out there regarding cells. Only one minor gripe is i wish they would speed up the 3g tower placements, but all in all At&t is pretty solid.

Speaking as someone who is hearing impaired, it has been worth paying a bit more since I can understand better over the phone. The quality is much improved compared to that of Sprint. I still don't like to talk while I'm out and about, especially with heavy traffic, but there definitely is an improved difference. All in all, AT&T has been good for me.

I have been with AT&T since before the first Treos. I have had excellent service. Some of the reps at the store aren't the most informed but most really know their stuff. When ever I have had to call in for service they have been exceptional.

Bought my phone from AT&T store and when I had a problem with my phone they spent over an hour trying to solve my problem before sending me to the nearest Apple store. The phone service is as good or better than any other network and the customer support has been outstanding. http://imageplace.info/img/988/k08m1113bpea/Biggrinn.gif

I'll have to agree as well. My family has been with AT&T for years and years and haven't ever considered making a switch. If I have an issue with service or billing I am usually connected to a phone rep without waiting long and the problem is always fixed.

I have to agree - AT&T is great. Very few problems, one billing screw-up that they fixed while I was speaking with the customer service rep. We've been with their service for over 10 years and have no complaints.:)

My BF and I switched to AT&T a few month ago. I love my iPhone but the people in the store I am using are totally incompetent!
Beside the fact that I think we need to straighten out a few things on our account something went awfully wrong with our bills. I will look into it over the holidays and than contact our AT&T rep from the company to get it sorted out b/c I know my BF tried to talk to AT&T and did not got anywhere.

On the other hand my genius bar and the Apple store I am using is great!

I had Sprint for 10+ years and always had good things to say about them.

AT&T's network is not quite as good - but good enough.

I think I got a better value for my money with Sprint, however. International roaming (where it was available) wasn't the eye-popping ripoff that AT&T's is.

Me and the wife have been with AT&T/Cingular/AT&T for over 15 years now. Never once considered switching. Mostly because a large portion of our family is on AT&T so the free mobile-to-mobile is nice. We've never needed a lot of minutes, so the prices are reasonable.

My only gripe is text prices. They're ridiculous. I know other carriers roll you as well, but unlimited texting should be included with an unlimited data package, plain and simple. And charging for incoming texts is a crime... my wife sends me a text, and even though we're on the same account with free mobile-to-mobile-voice, they get to charge us twice... once for sending, once to receive. It's absurd!

For me it's a bit of the opposite. My WHOLE family besides me is on Verizon, I am the only one who is not IN. I really liked Verizon, never had a complaint. Where we have a timeshare up in Idylwild, CA you cannot get AT&T there but Verizon works great, it's the same at my mom's house who lives near the foothills, my family all make fun of me. On the other hand I think the data plans for the iphone especially is a good deal with AT&T. When we were considering the BB Storm we looked into data cost and it was considerably more plus Verizon nickels and dimes you with $10 for VZ Navigation, $15 for Vcast, etc. I like the fact that I pay $30 bucks and I get everything I need for iphone, except for SMS but you do have to pay extra for that with Verizon too. And even though I bought my iphone at Apple store I have visited my local AT&T store with a sim card problem and the people there were very helpful, very nice, and seemed very knowledgable. So anyways, thats my 2 cents. Not the best reception for me but reasonable plan/data pricing. It all doesn't matter though because I am with whoever my beloved iphone has to be with.

I been with At&T for 4 years, first it was cingular and then At&t took over. But the service was always great and who could argue with Roll Over minutes, but I do agree with psylichon, the Texts are pretty expensive. But I feel that in General it's a better deal that I am getting.
