Fastmac iv aux battery

Looking into getting the fastmac iv 3100mah battery addon for my 3G.

It appears that the 3G slips into the battery with the back of the iphone being covered by the iv battery

Will this arrangement affect the radio signal for the iphone?

I have the fastmac iv for my 3G and I haven't noticed any reduced signal response. However, individual results will definitely vary depending upon original signal strength, location, and obstructions like buildings, etc.

On a side note, this thing is uglier than the Mophie Juice Pack, but that 3100 mAh battery is the truth! Today I put my dead 3G iPHone in it and plugged in my wife's 2G iPhone to it's USB port and it charged BOTH phones with plenty to spare. When not in use, I keep the phone plugged into the iV, and remove it when in use. I can effectivey have a fully-charged iPhone all day, even after heavy use. Well worth the $90.
