i keep getting a message, Cannot connect to iTunes store, every time i try to select an app from the App Store. What am I doing wrong here?

Are you trying to access via edge? You can only connect to App Store with wifi or 3G on the phone.

Being on EDGE shouldn't matter (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2001) - if it did, the first-generation iPhones wouldn't be able to use it when not on a WiFi network...

Okay. So it seems I should be able to access i tunes store regardless of whether or not i am on wi fi or 3G. Does anybody have an idea what my problem is here? thanks, steve

It's Friday and it's been a long week. I'm surprised my own brain is even functioning at this point. ;)

Can you access the App Store on EDGE or 3G without any problems? Is iTunes on the computer with which you sync your iPhone correctly associated with your iTunes account?

You were probably thinking of the iTunes music store (as opposed to the App Store), which can only be accessed over Wifi.
