I found this awesome case made by a company called Sena, and this iPhone case is a sleeve type case that is also leather and I think it would be great buy cause Ive read many reviews and they've ALL been positive, but of course at the end of the day its EiC's opinion in which will help me decide:laugh2:
-Heres some pics of it, and link (http://store.apple.com/us/product/TQ298LL/A?mco=MTIyMDkyNg) I just found from at the Apple store

looks like a good product, but i would never use it. too much work to take out, use your phone, while finding somewhere to keep your case in the meantime, and also remembering to put it back on when you're done.

but if it fits your use, then go for it.

I like it because I dont reallly want another hardcase like the Agent18 cause over-time I could spot scratches on it from putting the case on and taking it off
-I also chose this case cause since the first was stolen I want to have my iPhone on me absolutely all of the time:wink: And I think that it will stay in my pocket pretty good and if it were to fall then the leather would cushion the fall some what :)

Have a Look at the Vaja I-Volution cases for your v1?? im guessing.

Good quality leather, i recomend the black case with flip cover and swivel belt clip. $75bucks...a bit pricey...but the best quality for leather.

Now indeed that is a beautiful case, the 75 dollars is extremely unrealistic for me right now lol:tounge:
-Cause 75 dollars is like 75% of my average check lol!

It looks pretty thin, which is a plus, but other than that I would never use it. I think its ugly.

To each his own... I dont own a v1 and its pretty messed up at how small the market for them is starting to get.

To each his own... I dont own a v1 and its pretty messed up at how small the market for them is starting to get.Yeah its sad but it were inevitable ya kno:wink:
-Cause when Apple released the 3G companies have to keep making money so they slowly switch to their focus from the v1 to 3G:smile:

And eventhough the market is maybe "diminishing" most of the v1 products are still available for it

Londonrockz568
11-06-2008, 07:14 PM
Yeah, but in any sense the life line of a product is governed by its successor...thus it ends when its successor is successed.

Meaning: v1 comes out all is nice, products galore...3G comes out theres still a market for v1 but smaller...Newer replacement or overhaul for the 3G comes out and the market for the v1 is dead or very limited.

Think of it like playstation. When ps1 came out there was so much for it. Then Ps2 came and ps1 stuff started slowing down. Few years later Ps3 is out and ps1 is a thing of the past no products are made for it anymore.

Dont follow the apple reviews. I think anyone can post and say ****. It would be better if Apple required a purchase code, so you could review a product.

I went to Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=MVCR2CFRZE0ZRKC4D3KVAFI?sku Id=8803271&st=iphone&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=1206142172592) and bought the Rocketfish iPhone sleeve (http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/p-112-rocketfish-leather-sleeve-for-apple-iphone.aspx) (RF-WR360). Although it just says it's for the iPhone, it fits the iPhone 3G just right. It is snug enough to not slip out. The best thing was that it only costs $9.99 (USD). The price has since been increased to $17.99 (USD). Maybe because it's a hot seller!

It works perfect for what I need. I'm going to continue to carry the iPhone around naked (without a case), in my pocket. This case is for the times when I want to through the iPhone in my backpack or in one of my car's storage compartments, etc.

The outside is leather and the inside is lined with some sort of soft material (thin felt, maybe?) to keep from scratching the iPhone.

Check out the couple of photos I took of it (Note: this photos are before I JB'ed my phone)...

I love the vaja case... These guys really know how to make cases. I have their macbook case. The lather and craftsmanship is the best I've seen. If you dont mind spending $200 on a case, Get it ... Life is too short.

Vaja had the same case but in the limited edition, (the leather has slightly more texture and the liner is red) back in stock yesterday . It goes for $85 with the belt clip and $80 w/o. I agree it is a great case.

+1 for the Vaja cases. They are expensive, but worth it. They just last. I've had them for my Windows Mobile devices (Pocket PC Phones).

On the other hand, why cover up a beautiful, sexy iPhone?

exactly. i used a case for about 3 months and got tired of it. a naked iphone holds up just fine... at least a v1 will.

Well I got in the mail today...
-AND IT IS AN AWESOME CASE!!:2cool:

The leather is nice and quality looking/feeling, with it easily being able to slip in and out the case with just a simply push from the bottom of the case
-I also like how the logo "SENA" is very subtle by kinda being engraved in the leather not making it cheap and flashy like some cases :)

But what I love the most about this case is just how slim it really is! With the case on it is just as thin as the iPhone being naked. With the iPhone in the case its feels very sturdy and expensive like jewelry in your hands.

The Pro/User reviews on this case do not lie I give this case a 5/5 :laugh2:
-I will post pictures soon

Vaja cases cost bucks but you get what you pay for. I use them on any new phone I buy. I understand people want to admire the naked Iphone..and then you drop it. I take care of stuff but a drop is sort of not if but WHEN it will happen. The clips they use are also top notch...you don't have to worry about it breaking. I think Sena is the only other company that uses the ultra clip on its cases. I trust no other clip.

Dang you lost it already! lol. I guess it is easy to lose since it does not clip anywhere. I don't know if you still want a sleeve case but for 9 bucks...the one in the link is pretty cool. I meant to say...Piel Frama cases also use the ultra clip...

To those that are considering a Sena UltraSlim. I had a tan ultraslim but the inner lining comes apart from the leather as its only glued and not sewn. This happened after about 8 weeks. The design of the sena ultraslim is fantastic but the craftsmanship is not good. They don't mention where its made but I'd say its likely to be China. The other gripe is that the leather is very thin so if you ever drop your beloved iphone... it could cause damage. So armed with my experience I eventually tracked down a pouch that looks very similar in design but boy this is a whole lot better. The SuperSlim from ikonicedge is handmade in New Zealand using NZ leather that's twice as thick than the leather used for the Sena. Not only that but the leather is a better quality plus its aesthetically more natural, also the inner lining isn't just glued to the leather but also stitched so there's no chance of the lining coming apart from the leather. Anyway I had to add my experience..being an ex. Sena customer.

BrownGem

If you look at pics online of the Sena slim case you can so there are no stitches. There is another sleeve pouch..larger but still small enough for a pocket and has a flat metal clip. Looks higher quality.
