My son can't buy apps with allowance

I have set up an allowance for my son on iTunes (Canada) and he has not problems buying music and movies but can not buy apps. It asks him to enter the billing information but never lets him buy. Is there a issue with apps?

What version of iTunes are you on? Does he have at least firmware 2.0+ installed on his iPhone/iPod Touch?

good point. Make sure he's using the latest version of iTunes. The app store was introduced in 7.6, I believe.
