Shazam Not Working?

I am trying to use Shazam, but the damn thing just says "working" and it doesn't do that timer circle around the logo in the center. It just sits there indefinitely. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it (I realized after the fact that I lose all my tags this way...f*ck!) but I still have the same issue. Anyone else experience this?

Did you uninstall it from the computer and the phone. If not, try this, reboot both and reinstall from itunes. Sync phone.

I love Shazaam but it has a major flaw. It only detects songs from the major markets (USA, UK, Hispanic). Like i tried making it search for Utada Hikaru and it couldnt find. It also only detects songs if they are part of an album...it dosent detect singles.

Oh well.
