ATT service inside Metro Station - Washington DC

Today the weridest thing happened. I got service on my iphone at L'Enfant Plaza metro station (underground). Generally no other service except for Verizon is supose to work inside the metro. I was listening to my music when I got e-mail alerts. I was on the green/yellow platform waiting for train toward fort toten/greenbelt. Total of 3 bars and I was on the edge network. Does anyone know if ATT is expanding their network in the metro stations?

Oh, that's interesting. I'm moving to DC soon and I'd be curious if AT&T is doing some work here.

AT&T is definetly expanding, they are by far the best quality network out there. I have dealt with almost every major network and by far they are the best
