Have you tried Everest: Hidden Expedition? It isn't Waldo but it's a "find the object" game, pretty fun. The Stone of Destiny is similar as well.

yeah, Everest is great!!! I like those type of apps a lot. ESPN just came out with one too and it's free! I just think a Waldo game would be really cool too. Thanks for the suggestion!

Just letting you know, as I was pondering the creation of such an app and researching the licensing on such usage of a pop culture icon, I found out there's already an app in the works by the current license holder Entertainment Rights. Also includes plans for other consoles:

Anyone remember the hidden object page in the Scholastic magazines when they were younger? They were black and white and the picture was hand drawn in a old school style. I'd love to see that brought back as an app as well.
